Obama: Basing Public Policy on God is Dangerous – But That Was Before the Jobs Bill [VIDEO]

Oh Good, Now I KNOW That the President’s Jobs Bill is God’s Will

Here’s President Obama on Wednesday November 3rd, promoting his jobs bill as God’s will at Georgetown Waterfront Park in front of the Key Bridge.  See video here:

Excerpt:

“… you had legislation reaffirming that ‘In God We Trust’ is our motto.  That’s not putting people back to work.  I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work.”

But Mr. President, You Clearly Said Basing Public Policy on God is “Dangerous”

On June 28, 2006 listen to Senator Obama.  See video here.

Excerpt:

“… if i seek to pass a law banning the practice [abortion], I can’t simply point to the teachings of my church or evoke [invoke] God’s will…”

“… this is gonna be difficult for some who believe in the inerrancy of Bible, as many evangelicals do … at some fundamental level religion doesn’t allow for compromise … if God’s spoken then followers are expected to live up to God’s edicts regardless of the consequences. Now to base one’s own life on such uncompromising commitments may be sublime, but to base our policymaking on such commitments would be a dangerous thing.”
